Policies:
Tuition
Tuition is due in full on the first school day your child attends of the month. Statements identifying your amount due will be provided on the first day of the school month. A late fee of $15.00 will be added per child if not paid by the 10th of the month. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer credits for days that children are absent due to illness or vacation.
Returned checks will incur a $30 fee and future payments must be in the form of a money order or certified check.
Outstanding Balances
Any account accruing an outstanding balance of $50.00 or higher will cause your child to be removed from the program until such time as the outstanding balance is paid in full and the account is current. Payment options may be arranged at the discretion of the Director.
Drop-ins
Drop-ins are permitted on days your child does not normally attend, but some of our rooms stay full, so please contact the Director before bringing your child.
Late Fee
Please be prompt in picking up your children. A $5.00 per 5 minute late fee will be added to you account after 2:35 p.m. Any overtime charge will be added to your next month’s tuition.
Authorized Pick Up
A child will not be released to any person not previously authorized to pick up the child. Please phone the Director in the event of a change during the day. If the teacher does not recognize someone picking up the child, they will ask to see a photo id, and we will consult the authorized pick up list.
MDO Closures
We are closed for school breaks, such as fall break, holidays, and Spring Break. You do not pay tuition for these days. If the Choctaw/Nicoma Park School District is closed due to weather so will the MDO and tuition will be adjusted accordingly. You will be notified at the beginning of each month if the MDO will be closed due to a school break.
Illness
Children should not be brought when they have signs of any illness; this includes green or yellow runny nose and/or fever. If any of these symptoms arise while your child is at MDO, we will call you to come pick them up. A child who is sent home from school due to illness or who develops a fever will not be allowed to return to MDO until they are symptom and fever-free for 24 hrs. If an antibiotic is necessary, medication must be given for a full 24 hrs. before returning to MDO.
Attire
MDO is an interactive experience and will include arts and crafts, and indoor and outdoor play. In an effort to ensure that your child is comfortable for all activities please dress him/her in play clothes and closed-toed playtime shoes (please do not allow your child to wear open-toed shoes, sandals, jellies or cowboy boots). Additionally, small items like bracelets and necklaces can be easily lost or broken and should not be worn to MDO.
